Birding is for everyone. Whether you feed the birds and enjoy the visitors to your feeder with a cup of coffee in the morning or are a hard-core birder, traveling the world to observe exotic species, birds are beautiful and fascinating to all of us. On Saturday, February 24th John McKinney will be here to share his passion for birds. So whether you are the coffee cup birder or a beloved bird nerd, or aspire to be one or the other, this winter lecture is for you!

John is a former Park Ranger with the National Park Service. When I met him, I knew that he was an interpreter. He wasn’t translating French or Polish or Korean, but I knew he must have worked in a park. These people have a certain air about them. They are passionate, knowledgeable and absolutely love sharing what they’ve learned with other people. Interpreters are amazing, especially in action, as you can watch as they inspire people to appreciate and care about the natural and cultural history that is around them.

I hope you will join us on the 24th at 1:30, please call and reserve your spot: 413-267-9654 or email lectures@norcrosswildlifesanctuary.kinsta.cloud. In the meantime, here are some bird quizzes from Sibley that will help sharpen your skills: http://www.sibleyguides.com/quizzes/

Please note: We are closed Saturday, February 17th in observance of Presidents’ Day.
