If anyone would like to help Tom continue to “Rescue\, Rehabilitate\, and Release”\, donations may be made to the Birds of Prey Rehabilitation Center\, PO Box 26\, Conway\, MA 03141. Thank you to all who attended today’s  event! \n															\n															\n															\n																														 \nRegistration has closed for this event as we are at capacity!\nJoin Tom Ricardi for a close encounter with live birds of prey.  Tom is the owner of the Birds of Prey Rehabilitation Center in Conway and cares for injured falcons\, owls\, eagles\, and other raptors\, rescuing between 125-150 birds a year.  Retired from a 38-year career with the Massachusetts Environmental Police\, Tom has had an interest in birds since he was a child and is considered the most knowledgeable resource for injured raptors in Western Massachusetts.  \nRegistration has closed for this event as space is limited and we are at capacity.  Programs are held indoors at the Norcross Wildlife Foundation’s Visitor Center\, 30 Peck Road in Wales\, MA. \n

DESCRIPTION:Massachusetts supports a notable richness of reptiles and amphibian species for a relatively small and northern state. Nearly 50 spectacular and interesting species are found from the salt marshes of Cape Cod and Buzzards Bay to the calcareous fens of Berkshire County. In this 1-hr presentation we will discuss a representative selection of native species\, including case studies\, and a new effort to map species distributions and important habitats.  \nRegistration is required and space is limited.  Programs are held indoors at the Norcross Wildlife Foundation’s Visitor Center\, 30 Peck Road in Wales\, MA. \nTo register:  Registration has closed for this event as we are at capacity. \nMike Jones currently works as the State Herpetologist for the Natural Heritage and Endangered Species Program within the Division of Fisheries and Wildlife (MassWildlife). Mike works statewide with municipalities\, agencies\, and NGOs to promote the management\, conservation\, and study of Massachusetts’ native reptile and amphibian species. He earned a Ph.D. from UMass Amherst in 2009. Mike lives with his family in New Salem. \nRegistration for this event is now closed!
